Get to Know Us

The earliest currently known history of the retiree organization dates back to September 1995 when an article in the Morning Call noted "Over 130 retired, pensioned employees of Lehigh Valley Hospital have joined the Lehigh Valley Hospital Retirees' Organization, a new association". The article goes on to note: "During the initial meeting, the following officers and committee chairmen were elected: Jack Dittbrenner, president; Arlene Lakits, secretary; Josephine Ritz, Treasurer; Joyce McGonigle and Sally Roessler, membership committee; Hazel Kramer and Marie Dresen, activities committee; and Rose Haas, program committee."

We have now grown to over 400 members and have a charter/guiding principles that identify our purpose being to provide fellowship for retired employees of LVHN.
